My friend Magdalene, my parents, my brother family
What's your profession? What do you like about it?
I work in an industrial welding technology company, which has fascinated me since my apprenticeship as a construction mechanic.
What do sport in general and mountain biking in particular mean to you?
For me, sport means health for body and mind. Mountain biking has enabled me to transform my whole life in a very short time and since the start in 2017, I love to be able to push my physical limits upwards every year.
Is there anything else for you other than work and mountain biking?
When there's nothing to do at the house, I love to walk out into nature. In winter, snowboarding is also mine.
What memories/experiences have you had with MaXalami?
Fortunately, I haven't had any breakdowns in the race so far. I have already used Maxalami for practicing at home and got my tires super sealed with it.
How do you manage to harmonize your training with work and family or friends?
Luckily, I have to work early, so it is always possible to put the training in such a way that it fits with the rest. In addition a very understanding friend 😊
How many hours a week do you work and how many do you train?
I work 40 hours a week and can set my training between 10-15 hours, depending on how many hours you work.
Do you adapt your diet to your sport and what do you pay attention to?
I try to eat a balanced diet as far as possible. With the new cookbook I've received, I'm sure it'll work out even better. 😊
What does a typical day during the week look like for you?
05:00 a.m. Getting up and having breakfast
06:00 - 15:00 h Work
16:00 - 18:00/19:00 h Training
18:00/19:00 Dinner
between 21:00 - 22:00 rest until the next morning
What do you remember most about the past season?
2019 was my 2nd season on the bike and with the AlpentourTrophy I completed my first stage race.
What goals have you set yourself for the 2020 season?
To improve my time at the AlpentourTrophy and to reach my first podium places at some marathons.
